Mothering by the heart.

Every morning I wake up in the shape of a pretzel with 2 little people squished into my bed, some mornings it can be annoying but most mornings I snuggle with them and can't believe how lucky I am I get to wake next to such pure happiness.

Tomorrow morning two little boys won't be waking up next to their mum. The news of Peaches Geldof's passing was so tragic. It's every mothers nightmare, something happens and your children grow up without you.
Peaches was a celebrity so no I didn't know her, but I always loved her. First off I loved her name so different and unique, then seeing her stand up to a woman who was so intent with bringing a new parent down by how she chose to raise her child made me love her even more. This gave me hope that following our hearts and instincts in our parenting journey could become more mainstream and not seen as some hippy fad.

We all love our children, we all want them to be happy and healthy, we try our best. We also need to just follow our hearts and instinct, not books,  not styles just your heart.
Peaches raised awareness for following our instincts, standing up for what we believe in and yes attachment parenting but it also gave a voice to all new mums finding their feet, and the courage to follow their hearts.

So tonight when you're fighting your child to get them to sleep let them climb into bed with you, throw out the parenting book, give your child extra cuddles smile, dance and sing because who knows what tomorrow may bring.

Peace, love and laughter. Xxxx
